I have known Alex for over 8 years. During this time, I have been most impressed with many of his character attributes. His resilience, among other strengths, has been the most impressive. Despite the many pitfalls he has endured throughout life, his positive outlook has always shined through. I have been through certain events that have tried my spirit, but I have sought advice from Alex in the past. The reason for this is supported by his positive outlook. I have many “letters” after my name and you would think I could solve all of my problems (which pale in comparison to Alex’s past trials), but look toward him for emotional strength and support.

My name is Robert Bellanova. I am the owner of Randall's Formal Wear here in Pensacola, Florida, and in Mobile, Alabama, for the past 35 years. I have been extremely fortunate to know Mr. Alex Thomas for over 20 of those years. He has modeled our formalwear and has danced during our Bridal Fashion Shows during this time and has become one of clients, as well as our staffs, favorites ! ! ! Alex has an infectious personality and is such a positive light to everyone he comes into contact with. He is an extraordinarily good listener and takes direction well; as well as an exemplarily good leader. I can always count on Alex to take on any task assigned and he does it well-with much pride and dedication. In all my many years of knowing Alex, he has always maintained a sense of dignity, responsibility and abundance when it comes to the consideration of others. Everyone Alex meets feels this way. Many of our mutual friends have commented on how patient and helpful Alex is while he directs his clients -this does not surprise me. The purpose of this letter is to provide a character reference for Alex Thomas who I have known as a friend and as close to a brother as one could ask. I first met Alex almost 20 years ago while living in Pensacola, FL. We were both volunteers at a charity event (one of many we worked together).

​

As a volunteer, Alex worked with young and old, always going above and beyond what was required and always with a smile on his face. He possesses a personality that exudes sensitivity, creativity, wisdom and compassion. He is the hardest most committed worker I have ever been around. He is loyal, punctual and well-liked by all who come in contact. He has the ability to bring out the best in those around him and his mere presence has a calming effect in the most challenging situations.

Through our volunteer work, we became friends. My husband, a medical doctor, and I along with our children would often take family trips together with Alex. When my husband passed away Alex became a mentor to my children. He is the one who taught my sons (now 21 and 18) to be honorable, respectful and resourceful young men. His infectious laughter, wonderful sense of humor, combined with a strict moral code never waiver.

Alex has a strong ability to problem solve using common sense approaches. He never takes for granted the many skills and talents he has: dancing, singing, acting, cooking, etc. He is interested in the world around him and goes out of his way to continually improve himself.

 

As a friend and "brother", Alex Thomas has been incomparable. He is a loyal, honest, trustworthy, considerate individual who has the ability to see and understand things from another person’s perspective. He is a great communicator and knows how to listen.
